“It is a capable cabinet”: MP Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar on Modi 3.0 cabinet
Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 11 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh assembly speaker and former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday applauded the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the third term, saying that it was a capable cabinet and would realise the PM’s vision.
A total of 71 ministers joined the Modi 3.0 cabinet on Monday and all these ministers along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath in a grand swearing-in ceremony on Sunday.
Tomar told ANI, “The Central Cabinet has been formed and I think the kind of selection Modi has made, it is a capable cabinet and will realise PM Modi’s vision. It will work towards making a ‘Viksit Bharat’ in the days to come.”
“Madhya Pradesh has received many important departments in the Central cabinet. Former CM and MP from Vidisha seat, Shivraj Singh has got the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. It is a department that will solve the basic problems of the country,” he said.
The BJP leader added, “Chauhan’s background is such that he will do good work and we will benefit from it in the future.”
Meanwhile, speaking about the MP from Guna seat, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Tomar said, “From our state, Scindia also got the responsibility of the Telecommunications Department in Modi 3.0 cabinet. Today, there is a great need for communication means and there is also a need for its expansion and I think Scindia will also be successful in his responsibility.”
Six ministers from Madhya Pradesh, five Lok Sabha Members of Parliament (MPs) include Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Virendra Kumar, Durgadas Uikey and Savitri Thakur and one Rajya Sabha MP from the state L Murugan took oath on Sunday in Modi 3.0 cabinet.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan became the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare; and Minister of Rural Development. Similarly, Jyotiraditya Scindia became the Minister of Communications; and Minister of Development of North Eastern Region and Dr Virendra Kumar became the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment.
On the other hand, Durgadas Uikey is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Savitri Thakur is also the Minister of State in the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Dr L Murugan is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting; and Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
