GHSS Berarru organises awareness program against use of plastic

DODA, JUNE 12: On the 7th and final day of the Summer Camp, Eco Club of Government Higher Secondary School Berarru, under the supervision of the School Principal Anjeel Kumar Thakur, took a proactive initiative to instill environmental consciousness among students and the community. The activities were focused on the theme “Say No to Single-Use Plastic.”


Participants took a solemn pledge, reaffirming their commitment to reducing plastic waste and promoting sustainable alternatives. Following the pledge, Principal Thakur and several students spoke on this pressing issue, illuminating the detrimental effects of single-use plastics on the environment and human health.


Eco Club volunteers conducted a plastic audit of the institution and devised a plan to avoid its use. Today’s activities conveyed a profound message, fostering a sense of responsibility toward eco-friendly habits and lifestyles.
