One week student workshop concluded at TBS, JU

JAMMU, February 10: The Business School organised one week workshop aimed to enhance the professional competencies of MBA students from 6th February to 10th February, 2023. The week long workshop included nine sessions. Two sessions daily comprising of one morning session and one afternoon session.

Total nine sessions were conducted by various industry experts, leading academicians and motivational speakers within and outside the university namely Mr. Priyanker, HDFC bank, Mr. Gautam, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Ms. Swati Basotra, Talkeasytakeeasy, Ms. Geetika Kohli, Thinksta, Prof.Vishav Raksha, University of Jammu, Ms. Maansi Rattan, MG Design School, Mr. Akash Bali, Amazon India, Ms. Jasleen Kaur, Branding Elves, Mr. Aman Talla, Talla Jewellers and Mr. Satish Koul, Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

A valedictory function was organised to conclude the workshop and Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Satish Kaul, Resident Director at Emcure Pharmaceutical Ltd.  The certificates were distributed to the participants and organisers of the workshop. Mr. Satish Kaul in his address expressed the need for the students to enhance soft skills besides academic knowledge. He motivated the students to be disciplined, ethical and work hard to achieve success in life.  

He emphasized upon the need for such programs in The Business School. Prof. Sameer Gupta, Director, TBS while talking on the occasion gave special remarks about the workshop. He emphasized upon the need for such workshops for the MBA students that are under immense academic and competitive pressure.

Prof. Alka Sharma appraised the gathering that such workshops give an edge to the students in their employability profile. Further, Prof. Vinay Chauhan stressed upon the need of increase industrial linkages to transmit the knowledge and skills between the linked firms and upgrade the curriculum design of the department with the inputs from the industry. 

During the program the students also shared their feedback and suggested that more such programs should be organized. The session was attended by faculty members and students of The Business School, University of Jammu. The event was coordinated by faculty coordinators namely Dr. Rachna Mahajan and Dr. Farah Choudhary along with student coordinators of MBA-1st semester of The Business School, University of Jammu.
