DC Rajouri finalises arrangements for International Yoga Day

RAJOURI, JUNE 13: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today chaired a meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming International Yoga Day observed on 21st June at the national level.

The meeting finalized the arrangements for cleanliness at the venue, security arrangement, medicare, traffic arrangement besides other arrangements.

The concerned stakeholder departments were asked to make necessary arrangements well in advance for the smooth and successful conduct of the International Yoga day in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed for generating mass awareness about the benefits of yoga and mass participation of the people in the event. He also reiterated the importance of yoga in promoting overall health and wellbeing and urged everyone to adopt it as a way of life.

The venue for celebration of International Yoga Day in Rajouri would be Sports Stadium Kheora Rajouri.

The meeting was attended by the ADDC, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa and other concerned officers.
