Social & Tribal Welfare Ladakh organises UT level painting competition on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan
Leh, June 15: The Department of Social and Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh (The Directorate, Social and Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh) organised a UT/State level painting competition under the aegis of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in both the districts today on June 15. The theme of the competition was “Substance Abuse and Mental Health: The Intertwined Struggle”.
The UT level painting competition was held at the Hall of Aspiration, Ladakh Public School in Leh district and Mutahhry Public School, Baroo in Kargil district. In both the districts around 250 students from different govt and private schools along with the students of Child Care Institutions looked over by (under) the Social and Tribal Welfare Department participated in the said event.
Similarly, the painting competition was held remotely in different schools which did not participate physically in the event.
The UT level painting competition was organised as a preliminary event in the run up to the celebration of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking or World Drug Day observed on June 26, 2024.
The result of the painting competition will be declared on June 26, where the shortlisted paintings will be exhibited, in the event celebrating World Drug Day and the winners would be felicitated.
