Met office predicts rain in some parts of Madhya Pradesh for next two days
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 20 (ANI): The meteorological office on Thursday predicted rainfall and strong wind in some parts of Madhya Pradesh for the next two days.
The MeT office also stated there is a possibility of strong wind with a speed of 60 to 70 kilometres per hour at some places in southern and south-eastern Madhya Pradesh.
“Due to the local convective activities, there may be rain at some places in the state. There may be good rain in Pandhurna and Chhindwara districts in the state and the weather is likely to remain the same for the next two days in the state. Besides, Pushprajgarh in Anuppur district had recorded 8 cm of rainfall in the last 24 hours,” said BS Yadav Meteorologist, IMD Bhopal.
The meteorologist further said the temperature in the state had remained below 43 degrees for the time being and there was no heat wave situation anywhere in the state as of now.
“There is a possibility of strong wind with a speed of 60 to 70 kilometres per hour at some places in southern Madhya Pradesh and south-eastern Madhya Pradesh. The remaining place in the state may also experience heavy winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour along with rainfall,” he said.
There is a possibility of rainfall in the state capital Bhopal as well for the next two days, Meteorologist Yadav added.
According to the Met office, hailstorms with lightning (wind speed up to 70 kmph) are likely to occur over Seoni, Chhindwara, Anuppur/ Amarkantak and Singrauli districts in the afternoon hours. Similarly, moderate thunderstorms with lightning (wind speed up to 50 kmph) may occur over Damoh, Pandhurna, Balaghat, Mandla / Kanha, Dindori, Shahdol, Sidhi and Umaria district.
Besides, light thunderstorms with lightning may occur over Shivpuri, Raisen, Betul, Neemuch, East Narmadapuram / Pachmarhi, Barwani, Sagar, Jabalpur, South Panna, Katni and East Narsinghpur in afternoon hours.
