DC Samba reviews arrangements for Annual Mela at Baba Chamliyal Shrine
SAMBA, JUNE 24: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma, visited the Baba Chamliyal Shrine to review the preparations for the annual mela scheduled to take place on June 27.
During the visit, officers from various departments briefed the DC on arrangements related to water supply, electricity, sanitation, parking, road maintenance, crowd management, signage installation, security measures, and fire safety. The comprehensive review aimed to ensure a smooth and safe experience for the pilgrims attending the mela.
The DC emphasized the importance of installing a surveillance camera on the tower to enhance security measures. Additionally, he mandated a fire safety mock drill to be conducted by tomorrow to ensure preparedness for any emergencies.
Accompanying the Deputy Commissioner were Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Suresh Sharma, SDM Vijaypur, Tehsildar Ramgarh, BDO, and executive engineers from the Public Works Department (PWD), Power Development Department (PDD), and Public Health Engineering (PHE). Officers from the Vijaypur and Ramgarh police stations, along with other district and sectoral officers, were also present.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the ongoing preparations and reiterated the commitment of the administration to facilitate a successful and safe mela for all attendees.
