SWD Ramban holds awareness on functionalities of various schemes at Chanderkote

RAMBAN, JUNE 24: The Department of Social Welfare, Ramban today organized an awareness camp at Chanderkote to educate the local community about several key initiatives. The camp focused on the functioning of One Stop Centre, Women, Ramban, Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Ramban and BBBP (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao) program.

This initiative aimed to inform residents about the services offered under these programs and encourage their active participation. The event saw enthusiastic participation from local residents who engaged in discussions and interactive sessions to enhance their understanding of these important social welfare schemes.

The District Social Welfare Officer, Ramban, Rahul Gupta said that on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, such camps are being organized on a routine basis and are crucial in fostering awareness and promoting community involvement in initiatives aimed at social welfare and empowerment.

Paramedical staffer from OSC Women Ramban, Arti led the awareness program in Chanderkote which included capacity building of Anganwadi Workers, sensitizing them about Women Helpline and other initiatives and urging them to disseminate the information about these schemes.
