DDC Reasi reviews progress on Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway

REASI, JUNE 25: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, conducted a thorough review of the ongoing work on the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway today.


In a significant development, several structures on the highway have been demolished on the spot as part of resolving various issues that were obstructing the progress.

He emphasized the importance of expediting the construction while ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained.


A firm deadline of August 31, has been set for the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to complete and open the road section from Upper Domail to Katra. This stretch is critical for improving connectivity and ensuring smoother travel for commuters.


DDC Mahajan assured that the administration is committed to overcoming all challenges and will continuously monitor the project’s progress to ensure timely completion.


SDM Katra Piyush Dhotra, Project Director NHAI Udhampur, Anuj Kumar Singh, Tehsildar Katra Jatinder Singh and other concerned officers were present.
