Silver futures rise on spot demand
New Delhi, Jun 26 (PTI) Silver prices on Wednesday rose Rs 161 to Rs 87,098 per kilogram in futures trade as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for July delivery increased Rs 161 or 0.19 per cent to Rs 87,098 per kg in 13,586 lots.
Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.
Globally, silver was trading 0.26 per cent lower at USD 29.27 per ounce in New York.
