DDC Reasi takes stock of developmental needs in Suketar Village

REASI, JUNE 27: To foster coordination between the district administration and the local populace, District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan today conducted an extensive visit to Suketar Village.


During the visit, he interacted with locals who projected a range of demands seeking upgrading of local infrastructure including roads, education, healthcare and agriculture.
One of the key demands was the completion of the road from Suketar to Panyara to improve connectivity in the area. The DDC took note of these concerns and directed the concerned departments to expedite the necessary actions.
The DDC also inspected Amrit Sarovar and engaged with residents to assess their eligibility for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). He instructed the Assistant Commissioner Development, Pardeep Kumar, to conduct a door-to-door survey to identify eligible households for the PMAY scheme.


Addressing the community, DDC Mahajan emphasized that the PMAY benefits are intended for those living without adequate housing amenities. He further addressed transportation issues in the area and instructed the Assistant Regional Transport Officer Reasi to organize suitable transport services along the Suketar route.
Encouraging local youth to take advantage of government schemes like MUMKIN and other initiatives, the DDC also urged women to participate in the Jammu & Kashmir National Rural Livelihood Mission (JKNRLM) to enhance self-employment opportunities.


CEO Mushtaq Ahmed, Chief Agriculture Officer Harbans Singh, ARTO Mudassir Iqbal, Xen PDD and PWD, Xen PHE, Tehsildar, BDO and other concerned officers were present.
