Kisan Sampark Abhiyan: Farmers’ Orientation Program receives overwhelming response across Ramban

RAMBAN, JULY 02: The first round of Kisan Sampark Abhiyan – 3.0 (Farmers Orientation programme)- under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme has commenced across Ramban District.


Orientation sittings are being organized for the farmers across ten blocks of the district under the supervision of District Nodal Officer, CAHO, Dr. Suhail Kawoosa and District HADP Monitoring Officers, CHO, Anil Gorkha, CAO, Ram Gopal and DSHO, Dr Shabir Khan.


The day-long Farmers’ Orientation Programme-Kisan Sampark Abhiyan received an overwhelming response from the farming community. Audio-visuals (AVs) aids were used to disseminate the information about different government sponsored schemes meant for the welfare of the farmers associated with Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture, Apiculture, Pisciculture, Sericulture etc.


The resource persons from different departments sensitized participants regarding different schemes. Moreover, farmers were also made aware about Daksh Kisan (online learning portal for skill development) , Kissan Khidmat Garh KKG, Credit linked Schemes and Kisan Sathi (IT Dashboard) portals regarding the digitalization of various services/ schemes.


The resource persons urged farmers to ensure maximum participation in ‘Kisan Sampark Abhiyan’ to avail orientation and skilling courses for all interventions, latest techniques, explore new possibilities, and make the farming more accessible and profitable. During the program, farmers also raised various queries, which were resolved by the concerned resource persons amicably.
