Budget 2023 first step towards PM Modi’s vision to make India developed country in next 25 years: Ashok Koul, Sat, Rakesh

JAMMU February 12: Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) All Cells today organized a seminar of “Budget Pe Charcha” at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

On the occasion, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Org), Sat Sharma, President Budget Committee, J&K and former minister, Rakesh Mahajan, In-charge BJP All Cells, J&K, Neeraj Anand, Convener Industries Cell and Satish Sharma, Retd Commissioner Income Tax Deptt were the main speakers.

Today’s seminar was organized by Rakesh Mahajan in which Ved Sharma, Co-Incharge conducted the proceedings of the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul termed the Union Budget as Gareeb Kalyan Budget. In the Budget, the Central Government would cover Rs 2 lakh crore under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for the entire year of 2023 in which more than 80 crore people have benefited from the scheme till now. As per the scheme, the government offers 5 kg of free food grains each month in addition to subsidized ration given to families covered by the Public Distribution System under the National Food Security Act. He said that the Budget will prove as a game changer initiative comprising potential to set India into a substantial growth trajectory.

Ashok Koul said that the aforesaid Budget is a growth-oriented budget as it has clearly indicated the government’s vision for ‘Amrit Kaal’ through focus on the seven priorities of inclusive development, reaching the last mile, infrastructure and investment, unleashing the potential, green growth, youth power and financial sector.

Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said the Budget is the first step towards becoming a developed nation and will strengthen the country for a long time and creating a foundation for the economy. He said that making 7 lakh Income Tax free in this budget besides creating five slabs of rates on Income Tax are the most glaring features that have provided a great tax relief to the common Income Tax payers. Moreover bringing a special savings scheme for Women with interest @ 7.5 percent is a step towards taking due care of the weaker sex in the society.

The former minister said that overall this budget will help the nation in continuing its journey of progress and public welfare with special emphasis on women, farmers, youth, marginalized sections and the middle class.

Rakesh Mahajan, in his address, said that the Union Budget 2023-24 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman reflects the mission envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for India, which is entering the ‘Amrit Kaal’ to become a developed nation in next 25 years.

Rakesh Mahajan said that the budget gives priority to the deprived and will fulfill the dreams of the aspirational society, the farmers, and the middle class. “This budget will touch 140 crore Indians and will impact their lives for a better future and prepare India to enter into Amrit Kaal with great confidence as a country which is working to a plan to make India a nation where everybody grows as the economy grows,” he added.

He said that there is dire need to take technicalities of the Budget at grass root level so that the people will know about the vision of Modi Government in developing the nation in the next 25 years.
