President Murmu confers Shaurya Chakra upon SGCt Safiullah Qadri posthumously
NEW DELHI, 5 July 2024: President Droupadi Murmu conferred Shaurya Chakra upon Selection Grade Constable Safiullah Qadri, Jammu & Kashmir Police, posthumously on Friday.
In April 2022, he showed indomitable gallantry beyond the call of duty and eliminated two terrorists. In another incident, the officer fell prey to bullets from terrorists and made supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
