Awareness camp on PMFME scheme held at Shopian
SHOPIAN, JULY 10: The Department of Horticulture, Planning & Marketing, Shopian today organized an awareness programme on the Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme at Old Fruit Mandi Arhama Shopian.
A good gathering of potential individual entrepreneurs and women SHGs of the district participated in the event.
Area Marketing Officer Shopian /DNO along with his field staff, LDM, CFL and DRP attended the Program.
Area Marketing Officer (AMO) Shopian/ District Nodal officer (DNO) addressed the gathering and presented an overview and potential scope of the scheme in the district.
The scheme offers 35% credit linked capital subsidy with a maximum ceiling of Rs. 10 lakhs and Rs. 40,000/ seed capital per member for SHGs and Producer Cooperatives with a support for Branding and Marketing and hand holding to the units to be established under the scheme, he said.
AMO informed that till date, out of 52 cases of Food Processing Units sanctioned, 32 units have been established and are running successfully in the District. Expressing the desire, 10 No. of online registration of potential entrepreneurs was done on spot while 20 offline registrations were also done during the program.
Lead District Manager (LDM) including other Bank Officials also deliberated in detail about the procedures to be followed while the cases are being sanctioned by the Banks.
District Resource Person (DRP), PMFME scheme Shopian shared the entire registration and documentation process with the participants.
