DC Jammu attends to public grievances at block Samwan
JAMMU, JULY 10: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya today chaired a public darbar at Block Headquarters Samwan, where he listened to the grievances of the locals and assured systematic resolution of their issues.
The occasion was also graced by DDC Vice Chairman Suraj Singh, SDM Khour Satish Sharma, Block Development Officer Ajay Kumar and other senior officers.
The event saw a large gathering of villagers who raised various concerns, with the majority pertaining to roads, revenue services, flood protection and soil erosion.
Presiding over the event, the DC assured the public that all the issues have been taken note of and would be redressed systematically.
He encouraged the public to come forward not only with their public grievances but also with personal issues, assuring that district officers and senior officials would be present to provide services during the Block Diwas.
The DC emphasised the importance of making these public meetings successful through heavy participation and welcomed feedback from the public to improve the exercise of Block Diwas and public outreach.
The Deputy Commissioner visited tehsil office Khour and reviewed the services delivery and the quality of services under PSGA, stressing on timely delivery. He also interacted with police officers at Police Chowki Jogowan, taking feedback on law and order matters.
Sachin Kumar also visited a local contentious revenue issue, making a field visit along with the aggrieved and providing appropriate assurance and a course of resolution.
Additionally, the DC visited WSS Pahariwala and reviewed the progress on the project under Jal Jeevan Mission. Executive Engineer PHE Rural, Rocky Mahajan, briefed him on the status and progress of the project.
