Present dispensation miserably failed to fulfill aspirations of J&K youth: Ajaz Jan
Reviews preparation for Omar Abdullah’s Upcoming Convention
JAMMU, JULY 17: Ajaz Jan, Provincial President of the Youth Wing of Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (YNC), today conducted a meeting of the Party’s Youth Wing of district Samba at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu. This meeting was held in anticipation of the forthcoming day-long convention with Omar Abdullah, Party’s Vice President, scheduled for July 21, 2024.
All office bearers of Youth National Conference, District Samba were present during the meeting.
The meeting commenced with Hameed Ch, Zonal Vice President of the Youth National Conference, providing a detailed account of the severe challenges faced by the youth under the current administration. He highlighted the anti-youth policies that have left the local youth disenfranchised and struggling. “No locals have been employed in the newly established AIIMS Vijaypur,” he pointed out, “even the labourers have been recruited from outside the Samba district.” This stark reality has exacerbated the frustration among the local youth, who feel increasingly marginalized and neglected.
Addressing the gathering, Ajaz Jan said that the youth are the backbone of our society, yet they are the most affected by the current regime’s policies as their dreams and aspirations are being systematically undermined. He observed that the present dispensation has miserably failed to stand on the expectations of J&K youth. He underscored the National Conference’s commitment to resolving these issues, asserting, “Only the National Conference can effectively address and rectify these injustices.”
Jan called upon the YNC activists to ensure the upcoming convention’s success by making meticulous arrangements. He emphasized the significance of this event as a platform to voice the concerns of the youth and to consolidate the National Conference’s base. “This convention is not just a gathering; it is a movement. A movement to reclaim our rights and secure a brighter future for our youth,” Jan proclaimed.
He also encouraged the YNC activists to work tirelessly to strengthen the National Conference’s foundation, ensuring the party remains a formidable force in advocating for the youth’s rights and welfare. “We must unite, mobilize, and demonstrate our unwavering support for our cause. It is our collective effort that will lead us to success,” Jan motivated.
Hameed Ch reassured the Provincial President of YNC’s dedication and readiness to contribute to the convention’s success. “Our activists are fully committed to the party’s vision and goals. We are prepared to work relentlessly to make the upcoming convention a landmark event,” he affirmed.
The YNC members pledged to tackle the challenges head-on and work tirelessly for the betterment of the youth in Jammu & Kashmir.
