KC Public School Inter-School English Debate “Transgress 2.0” concludes
JAMMU July 30: The 2nd edition of the Inter School English Debate ‘Transgress 2.0’ began at KC Public School on Friday, July 26 and concluded on Saturday, July 27, after 2 days of highly charged sessions of debating on a wide range of issues pertaining to the modern day world. The concluding ceremony of this immensely popular debating event was held in the ground floor hall of KC Sports Club and was graced by Ms.Veenakshi Koul, Deputy Labour Commissioner of J&K as the Chief Guest.
The event commenced with customary presentation of a sapling to the Chief Guest by members of the KC Paryavaran Sadan (Environmental Club of KC Public School). Thereafter, the final verbal battle between the finalist schools GD Goenka School and KC Public School took off under the critical observation of young and versatile judges Tej Pratap Singh, Ananya Mahajan and Sahabdeep Singh. Both sides came out strongly in both defence and rebuttal arguments and mesmerized the spell-bound audience. Eventually, the final debate concluded with GD Goenka School taking the runners-up position and hosts KC Public School emerging winners. The best debater’s award was jointly shared by Saanchi Sundeep of KC International School and Suhas Koul of KCPS.
After addressing the audience and putting in words of appreciation for the performance of the finalist teams, the Chief Guest gave away certificates and trophies to the participants.
