2 apprehended for drug peddling in Kulgam

KULGAM, 16 Feb: In a bid to eradicate the drug menace from society, Kulgam Police arrested 2 drug peddlers and recovered contraband material.

The drug peddlers have been identified as Maqsood Ahmed Shiekh, a resident of Nussu, and Fayaz Ahmed Dar, a resident of Tachloo.

As per prima-facie, 220 grams of Charas and 3 grams of Heroin like substance have been recovered from their possession.  

A case under the NDPS Act has been registered, and further investigation has been launched.
