Capacity Building Programme for Krishi Udyami on HADP held at Ramban
RAMBAN, AUGUST 03: In a significant initiative aimed at empowering the agriculture sector, the District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, organized a comprehensive capacity-building programme for Krishi Udyami and Agriculture Extension Officers in the district.
The programme focused on sensitizing participants about the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) and importance of Kisan Khidmat Ghars.
Presiding over the training session, Chief Planning Officer Ramban, Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, urged the participants to set up and work diligently in their respective Krishi Khidmat Ghar (KKG). He emphasized the importance of their role in serving the farmer community, particularly in assisting them with the various online schemes offered by the Agriculture and allied departments. Seven KKG are being established in the district in 1st Phase, he added.
Key officers attended the programme including District Nodal Officer DHAP, CAHO, Dr Suhail Kousa; CHO, Anil Gorka; DSHO, Sabir Khan; DSO, Kuldeep Singh; DAO, Ravi Sharma; and various other concerned officers.
The concerned departments highlighted their respective schemes during the session, providing an in-depth understanding of their benefits and application processes. They called upon the officers to further sensitize farmers about these schemes and provide the necessary support to help them avail the online benefits effectively.
This initiative is part of the UT Government ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of its agricultural workforce, ensuring that they are well-equipped to guide and support farmers in maximizing the benefits of government schemes. By fostering a deeper understanding of the HADP and other relevant programs, the administration aims to drive sustainable agricultural development and improve the livelihoods of the farming community in Ramban.
The participants were imparted both soft and hard skills of operating KKG through PowerPoint presentation and screening of relevant videos by the experts of Agriculture Development Ramban besides providing IEC material, books to participants.
