DC Poonch reviews working of Rural Development Department
Sets timeline for various development activities
POONCH, February 16: To review the physical and financial progress of developmental works being executed by Rural Development Department under different centrally sponsored schemes and programmes, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet chaired a daylong meeting of concerned officers here in the Dak Bungalow Poonch.
At the outset of the meeting, Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah appraised the chair about the current status of different works spearheaded by RDD Poonch besides presented a PPT on progress achieved under various centrally sponsored schemes including MGNREGA, PMAY, SBM, 14FC, ADP, CD & Panchayat, Labour Budget, SSY and other related schemes.
Directions were issued to the concerned to achieve the target of construction of PMAY (Gramin) to provide shelter to homeless villagers by March 2023.
The department was further asked to complete all started MGNREGA works vis a vis billing of completed works without any fail.
It was informed in the meeting that the total labour budget target was Rs 20.70 lakh for the current financial year out of which Rs 14.14 lac mandays have been created. It was also informed that out of 23554 works under MGNREGA, as many as 2805 are complete.
Similarly, out of 3444 projects taken up under 14th FC, 3412 are complete, while 20527 PMAY houses were completed so far against the proposed target of 30593.
Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Malikzada Shera Ul Haq instructed the concerned BDOs to closely monitor the implementation of different schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the ADDC to take review of department schemes thrice a month and ACD & ACP shall monitor the department on weekends and appraise him regularly.
He further directed the ACD to grade the EPM of the BDOs according to their performances similarly Executive Engineer REW shall also rank EPM of AEEs/ AEs in line
The Deputy Commissioner asked the Assistant Commissioner Development to seek the last 5 month EPM report of BDOs, Secy, JEs, officials of all panchayats and submit it to the DC office.
Directions were issued to the concerned officers to complete the works under PRIs, DDC, BDC before 15 of March 2023.
