Besides welcoming the guests of the district administration, Prof. Lateef underscored the importance of organising electoral awareness programs for building a greater and healthier democracy.

Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Reshi from District Administration Srinagar, serving as a resource person on the occasion, highlighted that people are the pillars of democracy. To build a strong democracy, he emphasized the need for greater public participation in the electoral process. Another resource person for the program, Dr. Maher, a behavioural psychologist and IT expert from District Administration Srinagar, also spoke on the occasion. She highlighted the importance of the Voter Helpline App for online voter registration.

While underscoring the importance of the Voter Helpline App, Dr. Maher said that the Voter Helpline Application, created by the Election Commission of India, has garnered significant popularity for its revolutionary impact on how citizens access and engage with voter-related services.

Dr. Maher also emphasised the fact that, from elector registration to correcting demographic details and searching names in the electoral roll, these applications have efficiently connected citizens with the Election Commission, enhancing convenience and effectiveness.

The program was attended by faculty and students of the college. At the end, the queries and clarifications of participants were answered by the resource person in a very lucid manner.

Dr. Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Head Department of Education, proposed the vote of thanks, and Prof. Lateef Ahmad Shah, Convenor ELC, conducted the proceedings of the program.
