‘Congress’ ‘Haath se haath Jodo’ programme to start in J&K from Feb 28

JAMMU, February 17 : Shri Bharatsinh Solanki, Former Union Minister and AICC Observer for J&K  said that after the Bharat Jodo Yatra by Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party has taken up ‘Haath se Haath Jodo’ to take Rahul Gandhi’s message to every house in all states.

Launching  the programme in Jammu and Kashmir the Hath Se Hath Jodo programme , Shri Solanki said that all Congress leaders in the UT would commence similar yatras at their convenience in their areas to take the message of Rahul Gandhi to every house in Jammu and Kashmir All Assemblies in the State should be covered before 26th of March 2023 , he added. He said that Congress party has history of serving  people   and we will continue to fight with the same inspiration against the wrong policies of the government, Shri Solani said).

He said that after the immense love and affection received  through “BharatJodoYatra” the  congress party has launched  another programme that the “Haath Se Haath Jodo” campaign  at the all India level and it will also win everybody’s hearts.  Under this programme the party workers will deliver a letter written by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and a “charge sheet” against the Central government to each household.

Addressing a meeting  was held here today  at PCC HQ Jammu under the chairmanship of PCC President Shri Vikar Rasool Wani, in which detailed programme was chalked out and communicated to the party functionaries throughout the UT, he said that this is a tough task but with the cooperation of party workers and support of the  general public,  it will be accomplished.

Speaking on the occasion PCC Chief Shri Vikar Rasool Wani Shri  said that “Hath Se Hath Jodo” campaign launched by the Congress party has already been started in several states but in Jammu and Kashmir we could not start it earlier because of severe  winter  and the Bharat Jodo Yatra in last phase. During the programme which is scheduled to end on March 26, party workers will reach out to all the Panchayats, Villages and Polling Booths of the UT as mass contact programme..

He  said that there is a palpable economic crisis brewing – joblessness among the youth, unbearable price rise, severe farm distress, and a complete corporate capture of the country’s wealth.”People are worried about losing their jobs, their incomes are falling further, and their dreams of a better future are shattering and there is a deep sense of hopelessness  amongst the people.

Shri Raman Bhalla said that BJP in Jammu and Kashmir has played with the sentiments of the people who voted them to power. People are not happy with their policies and the government has proved to be a failure. We have taken to the streets against governance deficit  and failure of the government to deliver on the promises made to the people of the Jammu and Kashmir . “For ending this nightmarish era, the people should seize the opportunity of upcoming Assembly elections and give their verdict against BJP misrule”, he said and exhorted the people to vote and support Congress.

Terming the tall promises of the BJP as hoax and big joke with the people, especially the poor, marginalized and the youth, he said there has been very little on the ground. “It is not only the jobs; the BJP had shown day dreams about doubling the income of farmers and providing housing to all by 2022 but these turned out as Jumlas and nothing beyond that”, said Bhalla. If anything has happened, it to levy taxes even on the essentials like rice and curd, he said while slamming the BJP for befooling the poor housewives by creating hype over free LPG connections to those of them belonging to below poverty line, notwithstanding the fact they can’t afford to fill the cylinders which have crossed almost Rs 1100 per cylinder.
