Central University Jammu Celebrates 14th Foundation Day Today

 Jammu, 8 August 2024: Central University of Jammu celebrated its 14^th Foundation Day by organizing an impressive and colorful function, in the university Auditorium today.

Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu extended his greetings to the entire CUJ fraternity for successfully completing fourteen years of excellence. He emphasized the significance of the Foundation Day in his address and shared insights about the university’s functioning. In his speech Prof. Jain urged students, staff, and faculty to renew their commitment to emphasizing a shared vision and direction. He expressed optimism that the University could achieve greater heights through teamwork, dedication, and a strong sense of belonging.

Earlier, Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar CUJ, presented a formal welcome address and expressed gratitude towards Vice Chancellor Prof Sanjeev Jain. He highlighted that in just 14 years, CUJ has experienced rapid growth in infrastructure, academics, placements and student achievements. This progress, he noted, is a testament to the Vice Chancellor’s leadership, the hardworking faculty and dedicated staff.  

The founder members of the University, including Sh. Vikas Gupta, Assistant Registrar also expressed their views about the functioning of the University. The event garnered significant attendance from faculty, staff, and students, reflecting the strong engagement and involvement within the CUJ community.
