Tributes paid to Martyr Shaheed Koushal Singh at Sarna (Nud)

SAMBA, AUGUST 10: In a heartfelt tribute to one of our nation’s brave sons, Shaheed Koushal Singh, a special event was organized at his Shaheed Smarak in Sarna (Nud). The event, which was in compliance with the directions of the Deputy Commissioner of Samba, Abhishek Sharma, saw the participation of 50 students and staff members from Government Higher Secondary School Sarna and Middle School Badla Brahmana.


Chief Education Officer Samba, Kewal Krishan, led the delegation, who paid their respects to the martyr in the presence of his family members. The gathering also honored the father of the martyr, showing deep respect and appreciation for the sacrifice made by Shaheed Koushal Singh and his family.


As part of the ongoing Independence Day celebrations and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, a plantation drive was conducted at the Shaheed Smarak. A tree was planted as part of the “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam” campaign, symbolizing the enduring legacy of our martyrs.


The students and staff reminisced about the heroic deeds of Shaheed Koushal Singh, with all present chanting slogans of “Shaheed Koushal Singh Amar Rahe” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” filling the air with patriotic fervor.


The parents and locals who attended the program felt a deep sense of pride and fulfillment in paying homage to the martyr at the Shaheed Smarak.
