Congress committed to provide basic amenities to people: Uday Chib

Seeks support of people in ensuing Assembly polls in J&K

Jammu: Uday Bhanu Chib, General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress criticized the BJP for depriving the people of basic amenities in Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted the plights of local residents, who have been decrying the lack of essential services and lamenting that their issues have fallen on deaf ears.

Addressing a meeting at Lower Thather, Ward No 63, in Jammu North Assembly segment, the senior Congress leader asserted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been deprived of their fundamental rights and basic amenities under the BJP regime. It is disheartening to see the plight of the people, who are struggling for basic necessities while their concerns are being ignored,” he added.

Expressing disappointment over the continued denial of statehood and the delay in restoring a popular government in J&K, Uday Chib stressed the need for immediate political stability and democratic governance. “The BJP has deceived the people with false promises and empty slogans over the past decade. It is time for a change, and the Congress party is ready to serve the people with dedication and integrity,” he remarked.

Uday Chib underscored that development, dignity, and peace in Jammu and Kashmir are the top priorities of the Congress party. He emphasized that Congress has always stood for the welfare of the people of J&K and is committed to ensuring their rights and well-being.

The senior Congress leader appealed to the people to support the Congress party in the upcoming Assembly polls, assuring them that a Congress-led government would ensure social, political, and economic empowerment for all. “Congress Party has the potential and the will to change the scenario for the better. The future of our youth is at stake, and only Congress can ensure a shining future for Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.

Uday Chib urged voters to value their votes and not be swayed by the BJP’s emotional sloganeering and fake promises. “Your vote is your power. Use it wisely to bring about the change you deserve. Support Congress in the upcoming elections, and together, we will restore dignity and basic amenities to the people of J&K,” he added.
Among those who were present in the meeting include Surinder Bhagat , Ranjodh Singh, Madan Singh, Kaka Ram, Pummy Manhas, Jungh Bahadur, Sunil Rajput, Tarun Vaid and others.
