DLSA Srinagar organizes event to observe ‘International Youth Day’ at GBHSS Hazratbal

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 12: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar today observed ‘International Youth Day’ at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS), Hazratbal.

The event held under the theme ‘Empowering Youth for Sustainable Development,’ aimed to highlight the vital role of young people in shaping a better future.

The programme was held under the guidance of Jawad Ahmed, Chairman DLSA Srinagar (PDJ, Srinagar) and under the supervision of Jahangir Ahmed Bakshi, Secretary DLSA Srinagar.

The event was attended by Principal, Staff Members of School, officials, Assistant legal aid defence counsel, Panel Lawyers and para-legal volunteers of DLSA Srinagar and students enthusiastically participated in the said programme.

The programme featured key insights from Urba Rashid, Assistant Legal Aid Defence Counsel and Adv. Suhaila Ali, panel lawyer DLSA Srinagar. Addressing the students, they highlighted the importance of legal awareness and its role in shaping a just and equitable society. They emphasized the significance of youth participation in the legal system and encouraged students to utilize legal resources to protect their rights and address societal challenges.
