Sheep Husbandry conducts Free Medicine Distribution Camp at Alpine Pasture Sekijan, Shopian
SHOPIAN, AUGUST 12: The Department of Sheep Husbandry, Shopian, organized a Free Medicine Distribution Camp under the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) at Alpine Pasture Sekijan.
During the programme, free medicine kits were distributed among sheep farmers, aimed at promoting animal health.
On the occasion, participants were imparted awareness regarding scientific livestock management practices at Highland pastures.
The programme was attended by Dr. Tariq Ahmad Malik-District Sheep Husbandry Officer Shopian, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Khanday-Sheep and Wool Development Officer Shopian, Dr. Moien Javid-Controlling Officer summer camp Sekijan and other officials of the Department.
Additionally, a demonstration camp was organized under State Extension Programme for Extension Reforms (ATMA) at Hillow Gundi Mureed in which proper drenching method, injection sites, hoof paring method, hoof hygiene, common diseases in sheep and their management and shed hygiene management were highlighted.
