BJP for proprietary rights on Custodian, PoJK lands, ration quota, bill amnesty, extend new Ind policy   

J&K BJP General Secretaries Sunil Sharma (former Minister), Adv. Vibodh Gupta (former MLC), and Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal (former Minister) addressing a Press Conference at BJP Headquarters, Jammu shared that they have submitted a charter of demands to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha.

They raised the 1st demand of proprietary rights on Custodian and PoJK on the lines of WPRs, 5 kg ration on payment basis in addition to free ration, initiating stalled ration cards since 2012, ration cards of widows, 3rd demand to provide amnesty to commercial consumers, and 4th demand to extend new industrial policy.

They also shared that they have raised these issues with the national leadership of the BJP in Delhi.

Vibodh Gupta, addressing the media, said that the BJP government is a government of the general masses that has taken multiple landmark decisions for the benefit of needy people. In J&K, it has given rights to the Gorkha, Valmiki, WPRs, Gujjar, Paharis, Women and other communities who were denied even the basic rights by the previous government led by NC, Congress, and PDP.

Giving relief to the public, LG Manoj Sinha on the lines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah took public-centric decisions recently. He said that the land’s proprietary rights were granted to the WPRs. He said that the J&K BJP unit has further raised certain issues with our national leadership and the LG of J&K.

Sunil Sharma, while sharing further details, lauded the decision of the LG administration for solving a major issue of land proprietary rights to the West Pakistan Refugees and said that they have also raised the issue of proprietary rights on the custodian and PoJK lands.

Sharma shared that they have conveyed to the administration to give the quota of 5 kg ration (with or without subsidy) in addition to the 5 kg free ration being already given to the families.

Sharma added that they have raised the issue of amnesty for commercial electricity consumers on the lines of amnesty for domestic electricity consumers.

Sunil Sharma further added that under the new industrial policy, an investment of 28,400 crore rupees was assured and the subsequent facilities for the allocation of land and other facilities for the same were made by the administration. Till now 1,30,000 crore rupees application have been received. Around investments of 20,000 crore are being made in Kathua, and investment of 5,000 crore in Kashmir, Kathua is being transformed into a national industrial hub in the coming time. Muralidharan, a renowned face in Shri Lankan and International cricket is investing 16,000 crore rupees in Kathua for industry. He said that these developments will provide jobs to youth. This policy has benefitted the people of Jammu & Kashmir. He requested LG to extend this beneficial policy by 6 months which is going to expire by September this year to further alleviate the atmosphere of joblessness.
