“We will fill more than 75 thousand state government jobs within January 2026,” says Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], August 15 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President MK Stalin on Thursday hoisted the national flag at Fort St. George on the occasion of 78th Independence Day and assured to fill 75 thousand state government jobs within January 2026.

He said, “It’s our Karunanidhi who got permission to hoist the National flag by the Chief Minister on Independence Day 50 years back in 1974. That too was a freedom struggle where seeking power to states”.

He further stated, “In the last 3 years, Dravidian Model government have created 77 lakhs 79 thousand new jobs. I assure you all that within January 2026 we will fill more than 75 thousand state government jobs”.

“Mudhalvar Marundhagan (Chief Minister Pharmacy) scheme to be inaugurated from Pongal (Next year January) where medicines will be sold at a subsidised rate. In the first phase 1000 CM Pharmacy to be opened” he added.

Talking about the natural disasters following the recent landslide in Kerala’s Wayanad he said “An expert’s committee will do a detailed research study on natural disasters likely to happen in hilly areas during heavy rain seasons and submit a report to the government, these steps have been taken after the recent tragedy due to landslides in Wayanad in Kerala”.

Taking on to the social media platform X he said “This is the fiftieth year since the Tamil leader Kalaignar got the right to hoist the flag on the day of the liberation by the chief ministers of the state in 1974! With that right, I hoisted the flag on the Fort Kothalam on the 78th Independence Day. Let us praise the liberation that resulted from the sacrifices of countless martyrs!”

Earlier today, Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader K Annamalai hoisted the national flag at the state headquarters in Chennai. BJP national secretary Arvind Menon was also present on the occasion.

Taking on to his social media platform x he said ‘Today, on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day of our country, we hoisted the national flag at the state headquarters in Chennai”.

“In the event, BJP Tamilnadu in-charge Mr Arvind Menon, senior leaders and all administrators participated”, he said.

He further said, “On this Independence Day, let us pledge to work tirelessly towards the vision of our honourable Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi of a strong Bharat”.
