Himachal Pradesh CM inaugurates development projects for Solan district

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], August 20 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday inaugurated eight development projects, worth Rs 23.20 crore for Solan district during his one-day tour.

Sukhu inaugurated Rs 3.19 crore newly constructed building of Government Senior Secondary School Kothi Deora (Ghatti), Rs 3.30 crore administrative block building of SCERT, Solan and Rs 7.51 crore newly constructed building of Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank, Solan. He also dedicated the petrol pump of H.P Police Welfare Association at Solan.

He laid foundation stones of Rs 75 lakh Landslide Mitigation and Flood Management in Rural Residential Sadhupul area of Solan district, Rs 3 crore Landslide Mitigation and Flood Management of Solan district at Shamti, Rs 2.67 crore Parking in Municipal Corporation, Solan near Fire Department building and Rs 2.80 crore parking in Municipal Corporation, Solan near Thodo ground.

He also launched a new logo for the Jogindra Central Co-operative Bank Solan.

Earlier in the day Chief Minister along with his cabinet colleagues and the state Congress president, paid heartfelt tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 80th birth anniversary by offering floral tributes at his statue at Rajiv Chowk in Chhota Shimla. The day is also being observed as Sadbhavana Diwas across the State.
