MCMC & Election Control Room fully Operational in Bandipora

BANDIPORA, AUGUST 24: In view of the General Elections to Legislative Assembly (GELA) 2024, the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) and the Election Control Room are fully operational in Bandipora, marking a significant step toward ensuring a transparent and fair electoral process in the District.

The MCMC has been set up to ensure that all media content complies with ECI guidelines. This committee reviews news reports, advertisements, and other media outputs to prevent biased or unfair coverage of candidates and political parties.

Additionally, the MCMC is assigned to approve and certify media advertisements to ensure they adhere to Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines and do not mislead voters.

Meanwhile, the Election Control Room is functioning round the clock to manage various aspects of the electoral process. This central hub is assigned to address and resolve any issues that arise during the election, facilitating smooth operations across all areas.

The control room also acts as a communication link between different electoral teams and agencies, ensuring efficient information flow.

The activation of both the MCMC and the Election Control Room demonstrates the District Administration’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the electoral process.

By overseeing media coverage and addressing logistical challenges promptly, these measures aim to maintain the highest standards of transparency and efficiency throughout the election.
