Dead body of man found floating in Yamuna river
New Delhi [India], August 25 (ANI): A man’s body was found floating in the Yamuna River on Sunday morning, according to police reports.
The Delhi Police received a PCR call on Sunday at the Shaheen Bagh Police Station, informing them about the discovery of the body.
Upon receiving the information, a crime team, accompanied by divers, was immediately dispatched to the scene.
The deceased has been identified as a male between 55 and 60 years old. No identity card was found on the body, and there were no visible injuries.
The police further stated that the man was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue trousers, with a pendant around his neck and a rakhi tied to his right wrist.
The body has been taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) mortuary for further investigation.
Earlier, on August 22, a man was found stabbed to death in the Vijay Vihar Police Station area of the city, according to police reports.
The Delhi Police received a PCR call at 5:20 AM, reporting a person lying injured and unconscious with a stab wound at Gali No. 10, Vijay Vihar.
Responding to the call, the local police team promptly arrived at the scene and transported the injured person to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased was identified as Parveen (52), a resident of Village Rithala, Delhi.
The body was preserved at the hospital for a postmortem. A case has been registered at the Vijay Vihar Police Station, the police added.
Multiple teams have been formed to apprehend the culprits.
