Voter Awareness Drive intensified across Ramban under SVEEP

RAMBAN, AUGUST 25: The District Administration Ramban, led by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, has launched a vigorous voter awareness campaign ahead of the upcoming Assembly Election. Through the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme, a series of initiatives are being rolled out to maximize voter turnout.

At Higher Secondary School (HSS) Tethar, the District SVEEP team, in collaboration with the AC-55 Banihal team, organized a comprehensive voter awareness event. The program drew a diverse crowd, including local voters, women, students, and teachers, all eager to learn and participate.

Officials at the event underscored the vital role of every vote in shaping the region’s future governance. They encouraged attendees not only to cast their votes but also to inspire others in their communities to do the same. With the Assembly Election set for September 18, 2024, the message was clear: informed and active participation is crucial.

The event also served as an educational platform, particularly for youth and women, on various aspects of the electoral process. The active involvement of these groups highlighted the community’s dedication to strengthening democracy.

Beyond fostering public engagement, the officials from the team said that the District Administration remains committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, and inclusive election.
