CEO Kishtwar inspects functioning of Schools after winter break

Asks teachers to ensure filling of learning gaps ahead of Board Exams

KISHTWAR, February 20: After a long gap of winter vacations in the winter Zone of Jammu Division, the High and Higher Secondary Schools were reopened across district Kishtwar, today.

Chief Education Officer, Sudarshan Kumar Sharma visited several Schools and took stock of the presence of staff and students on the first day of reopening.

The CEO inspected High School Cherhar, High School Sangrambhatta and HS Poochal where he interacted with the teachers and other staff and enquired about availability of basic amenities and cleanliness measures taken to ready the classrooms for class work starting from next week. He also discussed the action plan to fill the teaching learning gaps to enable the students to overcome the hurdles in taking upcoming board exams.

He asked HOIs to conduct special remedial classes and guidance sessions for needy students ahead of the Board exams.

Meanwhile, on finding some teachers absent, the CEO served them show cause notice to explain their position within a week.

The Head of institutions and the teachers were directed to conduct the cleanliness and preparatory activities during the week to ensure an enabling environment for children, who are going to attend the school after a long gap of Winter vacations.
