DLSA Samba organises visit of trainee judges to District Jail Kathua

SAMBA, AUGUST 29: District Legal Services Authority Samba under the aegis of Pr. District and Sessions Judge Adnan Sayeed organized a visit of trainee judges to District Jail Kathua. The event was held as per the directions of the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, District Legal Services Authority Samba.

During the visit, the Chairman DLSA Samba took stock of the facilities being provided to the inmates lodged in the jail by the jail authorities. The Chairman DLSA Samba was accompanied by Secretary DLSA Samba and Trainee Judges. The Chairman DLSA Samba conducted inspection of all the barracks of the jail in the presence of trainee judges and also interacted with the inmates and enquired about their grievances. He also visited the vocational Centre, medical room and kitchen area to take stock of the food items as well as hygiene conditions.

The purpose of the visit was to make the trainee judges aware of the working of the jail authorities, how timely and quality legal services are given to the inmates through LADCs as per NALSA Module.
