JKNC promises regularization of temporary employees, safeguarding land laws and employment rights

Babu Rampaul appeals voters to wholeheartedly support NC in elections

Jammu:01-09-24:  In a significant move ahead of the 2024 elections, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has promised to formulate a policy for the regularization of temporary and contractual employees across various sectors; and also promised to safeguarding land laws and employment rights, emphasizing the need to review all decisions made without the approval of the people.

Addressing a meeting, Former Minister and party’s Central Zone (Jammu, Kathua & Samba) President, Babu Rampaul flanked by Dr Vikas Sharma, Secretary Central Zone, said, “The commitment is expected to resonate with thousands of workers who have been seeking job security and stability.

Rampaul said that paramedical staff in associated hospitals and GMC, casual laborers, daily wage workers, CIC operators, contractual employees, home guards, and rehbar-e-khel (temporary sports coaches or physical education teachers) would be regularized as soon as the NC was elected to power by the people of J&K. “This broad spectrum of workers has been a significant part of the state’s workforce, often working under precarious conditions without the benefits and security that come with permanent employment,” he said.

He stated that by promising regularization, the JKNC is directly addressing the concerns of temporary employees and their families. The implications of such a policy are far-reaching.

Babu Rampaul also emphasized safeguarding land laws and employment rights, emphasizing the need to review all decisions made without the approval of the people.

“By promising to protect land laws and employment rights, the JKNC is directly addressing the concerns of local residents, who have been feeling marginalized and disenfranchised,” he added.

He appealed to the voters of J&K to exercise their franchise in favour of the National Conference and its alliance partners so that the party could fulfill its poll promises and bring the State back on the path of peace and prosperity, and inclusive development.
