Dy SP Aman Thakur Memorial GDC Kastigarh organizes 3-Day Voter Awareness Workshop under SVEEP

DODA, SEPTEMBER 11: Dy. SP Aman Thakur Memorial Government Degree College Kastigarh conducted a three-day voter awareness workshop under the SVEEP initiative, aimed at engaging students and the local community in the electoral process.


Led by the College Principal, Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, the workshop ran from 9th to 11th September 2024, offering a variety of activities to educate participants on the importance of voting and civic responsibility. Faculty members, Dr. Sumit Kotwal and Dr. Anupam Lata, delivered comprehensive presentations on voter registration, electoral procedures, and the significance of active citizen participation.


The second day of the event centered on a Slogan Writing Competition, where participants creatively expressed the importance of voting. Their efforts highlighted the power of communication in promoting electoral engagement, with winning entries chosen for their originality and impact. This activity not only inspired critical thinking but also fostered a deeper connection with the democratic process.


The final day featured a lively Voter Awareness Quiz, testing participants’ knowledge on different aspects of voting rights, electoral history, and civic duties. Two student teams, Team A and Team B, competed, with Team B emerging as the winner. This interactive session, led by Dr. Kotwal and Dr. Lata, provided a fun yet informative conclusion to the workshop, reinforcing the key lessons of voter awareness and participation.
