DMG Leh Conducts Two-Day Hands-On Training for Drivers and Mechanics

Leh, September 14: The Department of Motor Garages (DMG), Leh, has successfully concluded a two-day hands-on training program for the district’s drivers and mechanics. The training was designed to enhance practical skills and raise awareness about important legal aspects, focusing on two key areas: mechanical wheel-changing techniques and legal issues arising from road accidents.

The training sessions include detailed instruction on the process of safely changing vehicle wheels, provided by a dedicated trainer with expertise in the field. Additionally, specialists from the insurance sector were brought in to educate participants on insurance provisions, rules related to accidental exigencies, and the legal protocols drivers and mechanics must follow in the event of an accident.

In addition to these key areas, the program also featured a short fire safety training session conducted with the participation of officials from the Fire Department. This training aimed to equip drivers and mechanics with essential knowledge on handling fire emergencies, enhancing overall road safety and preparedness.

The DMG commits to foster a safer and more informed driving environment in the district through such initiatives, ensuring that drivers and mechanics are well-prepared to handle both routine and emergency situations on the road.
