9th Dehradun International Film Festival Starts September 27

Special Screening of Sam Bahadur for the Visually Impaired

A Platform for Artists to Showcase Their Talent

The 9th Dehradun International Film Festival will feature the Uttarakhand Talent Hunt and Angan Bazaar Exhibition this year.

Dehradun: The 9th Dehradun International Film Festival, the largest event in Uttarakhand, will kick off from September 27 to 29 at Silver City, Rajpur Road, and Tulas Institute. As in previous years, this festival will bring together numerous stars, film directors, and singers for the people of Uttarakhand. This year, in addition to the film festival, the Uttarakhand Talent Hunt and Angan Bazaar Exhibition will also be held.

Rajesh Sharma, the organizer of the Dehradun International Film Festival, announced that the festival will feature a special screening of Sam Bahadur for the visually impaired.

Sharma shared that the event will include two age groups: 8 to 15 years and 16 years and above. Participants will perform arts such as dance, acting, poetry, mimicry, and singing before a panel of judges. Winners will receive awards and certificates, as well as opportunities to participate in future vocal music projects and upcoming Dehradun International Film Festival projects.

This festival provides a golden opportunity for the youth of Uttarakhand to showcase their talent and connect with artists from whom they can gain valuable experience. Over the past nine years, the Dehradun International Film Festival has aimed to offer a platform to new directors and producers, many of whom have made their mark on the national stage. The Uttarakhand Talent Hunt is another effort to give youth a chance to display their talents in various fields.

Rajesh Sharma also mentioned that the festival’s first day will feature a special screening of Sam Bahadur for the visually impaired, dubbed in sign language by Saksham Disability and TOC Combine. Additionally, to promote women’s empowerment, the Angan Bazaar Exhibition will provide women with stalls and other opportunities.
