Khera’s arrest, ED raids ahead of AICC Session in Chhatisgarh is  naked drama of Modi Govt: JKPCC

Urgent intervention of Supreme Court has enhanced the faith of the people in the Judiciary:- Ravinder

Chhatisgarh, February 23, 2023:- Hailing Supreme Court for the urgent intervention in the matter of arrest & granting him interim bail, JKPCC  Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Mr Ravinder Sharma has termed the arrest of AICC Media Chairman and  party’s Chief Spokesperson Shri Pawan Khera Ji and series of ED raids on Senior Congress Leaders in Chhatisgarh, ahead of three days AICC session begining tomorrow, as a naked drama of Modi Govt. against opposition especially grand old party Congress, putting the democracy in peril.

Reacting sharply to the dramatic action of deboarding of Pawan Khera ji from plane on way to Chhatisgarh today morning and his subsequent arrest coupled with series of ED raids on the Senior Congress leaders including state ministers engaged in the arrangements for the AICC session begining here in Chhatisgarh, tomorrow, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that it is sheer display of the authoritarianism to terrorise the countrymen.

By such actions, Modi Govt. wanted to send a message to all those courageous people speaking against the dictatorial policies of the BJP, he said adding that entire world keeps its eyes on the major political activities like plenary session of the INC, the grand old party, which held such historical plenary sessions during British regime.

Such actions will not deter the resolve of the Congress soldiers & other democratic forces in the country to continue to fight against repressive measures of the Modi Govt. to crush the voice of dissent but the glorious traditions of Indian democracy are being maligned by such display of authoritarianism.

However, he saluted to the Hon’ble Supreme Court for enhancing the faith of the common man in the Judiciary by an urgent intervention and interim relief in the matter. He expressed gratitude to the Judiciary for its gesture of coming to the rescue of democracy and individual liberty.

Sharma said that despite such disturbing actions large number of AICC and PCC delegates from all over country including from Jammu and Kashmir, are pouring in  here at Chhatisgarh for the session tomorrow.
