Massive voter turnout in 2 Phases signifies rejection of BJP’s hollow and anti people policies: Rattan Lal Gupta

NC- Congress alliance is sure to form next Govt. in J&K: Rajesh Pargotra

VIJAYPUR September, 26 : Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), said that the National Conference and Congress got massive response in the first two phases of the ongoing Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir signifies a clear rejection of the BJP’s hollow and anti people policies . The high voter participation is a testament to the people’s demand for change and their overwhelming support for the National Conference-Congress alliance.

The provincial president was speaking during election campaign rallies in support of NC candidate Rajesh Pargotra for Vijaypur Assembly constituency here today at Birpur and Purmandal.

Rattan Lal Gupta underscored that the electorate has come out in large numbers to vote for the Alliance, recognizing it as the only viable option for restoring development, peace, and stability in the region. “People are voting in support of the National Conference because they want change, and that’s why they are coming out in such large numbers to cast their votes,” he stated.

The senior NC leader said that the Abdullah’s family, spanning three generations, has served the people of Jammu and Kashmir with great dedication and unwavering commitment. Their leadership has been instrumental in shaping the J&K political and developmental landscape, and the National Conference remains devoted to the welfare and progress of the people, continuing the legacy of service and integrity, he added.

The Provincial President expressed particular confidence in the results from the first two phases of Assembly polls, predicting a clean sweep for the National Conference and Congress. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have overwhelmingly endorsed the National Conference and Congress. Vision and manifesto,” he said.

He said that the BJP has betrayed the people of Jammu and Kashmir over the last 10 years, failing to fulfill its promises and leaving the region in a state of neglect. The BJP’s hollow policies have only deepened the challenges faced by the common people, leading to widespread frustration and disillusionment, he added.

Appealing to voters, Rattan Lal said that Rajesh Pargotra is a deserving and dedicated candidate for Vijaypur Assembly constituency as he has proven track record by addressing the genuine issues of general public. He urged voters to vote and support Rajesh Pargotra, stressing that only the National Conference can restore peace, prosperity and stability in Jammu and Kashmir. 

National Conference candidate Rajesh Pargotra, in his address, assured voters that he is committed to serve the people with dedication and integrity. “I will always stand by the people in every hour of need,” he stated, vowing to work tirelessly for the betterment of the constituency. He further pledged to transform the constituency into a model one, focusing on development, progress, and the welfare of its residents.

Senior National Conference leader and former DIG, Israr Khan, expressed deep concern over the alarming rise in terrorism across the Jammu region, which had remained largely terrorism-free under the National Conference’s governance. He pointed out that the resurgence of terrorist activities is a direct result of the ineffective policies of the BJP-led administration. He also urged people to vote and support Rajesh Pargotra in the Assembly polls.

He assured the public that if National Conference is voted in power, they will take decisive steps to eradicate terrorism from the Jammu region once again, restoring peace, prosperity and security in  J&K. He emphasized NC’s strong track record in maintaining law and order, and pledged to work tirelessly towards the safety and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
