General Observer visits Sumbal, assess Poll Day preparations

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 30: The General Observer for Bandipora and Sonawari AC, Nelson Eyon Bage accompanied by District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora conducted an on-site visit to Sumbal sub-division to review the poll day arrangements.


During the visit, the General Observer and DEO inspected the DCRC and assessed the facilities available for polling parties and the process of dispatching poll parties.


Paying Special attention to the Special Polling Stations, they evaluated welfare measures for both polling staff and voters during visits to various special polling stations.


The DEO stated, “We are fully committed to ensuring that the electoral process is conducted smoothly and transparently. Our team is working diligently to meet all guidelines set by the Election Commission of India, and we are focused on providing a conducive environment for both voters and election personnel.”


Emphasizing the importance of voter education, the DEO said, “we encourage all citizens to participate in the electoral process and make their voices heard.”


He said all necessary arrangements have been taken up to ensure a positive experience for every voter.


The DEO assured that all preparations are in place in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI), reinforcing the commitment to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process.


The General Observer was also accompanied by ADC /Nodal Officer MCC Zaffar Husson Shawal and other officials.
