Sopore Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered Psychotropic Substances.

Baramulla, Oct 03 : In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered Psychotropic Substances from their possession.

A police party of Police Post Fruit Mandi headed by IC PP Fruit Mandi PSI Rashid Khan under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS and SHO PS Sopore Insp. Ayaz Gellani, during patrolling at Nowpora Byepass Road apprehended two persons in a suspicious conditions.

During their search Police Party was able to recover 540 Tablets of banned Alprazolam from their possession.

In this connection, case FIR No. 223 under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Sopore & investigation has been initiated.

Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.

General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society.
