GCW Parade observes World Mental Health Day
JAMMU, OCTOBER 10: On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Department of Psychology at Government College for Women (GCW), Parade Ground, Jammu, organized a Slogan Writing Competition on the theme “Mental Health at Work.” The event was conducted under the esteemed supervision of the College Principal, Dr. Ravinder K Tickoo.
As many as 15 students enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creativity and deep understanding of the importance of mental well-being in the workplace. The competition was judged by a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Ritu Magotra, Prof. Samta Sharma and Dr. Jasmeet Kour.
The winners were honored with prizes for their outstanding slogans. Ist position was secured by Rizwana Ashraf of Sem Ist and 2nd and 3rd position were secured by Arya Singh of Sem Ist and Sanskriti Sharma Of Sem 3rd respectively.
The event highlighted the critical role that mental health plays in the workplace and encouraged the participants to promote a culture of empathy and care in professional environments.
The Principal, while appreciating the efforts of the students, emphasized the importance of mental well-being for a productive work-life balance. The Programme was organized by Dr. Probhjot Kour, Head, Department of Psychology and Dr. Divya Puri, Asstt. Prof. Department of Psychology.
