DC Doda flags off Interstate Bike Rally from Bhaderwah to Chamba

DODA, OCTOBER 12: In a remarkable initiative to boost tourism and promote adventure sports, Bhadarwah Development Authority (BDA) in collaboration with Adventure Hawks organized an interstate bike rally.


The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh in presence of CEO BDA Bal Krishan from the Bhadarwah Tourist Reception Centre.


The rally, which commenced from Bhadarwah aimed to touch several scenic tourism spots enroute to Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. A major stop was made at the breathtaking Padri Dhar, where the bikers were provided with packed lunches before they continued their journey via Saloni, eventually reaching Chamba.


Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Harvinder Singh, emphasized the importance of such rallies in promoting tourism. He noted, “This bike rally is not only a boost for tourism but also serves as an effort to keep our youth engaged in positive activities, keeping them away from the dangers of drug abuse.”


CEO BDA Bal Krishan echoed similar sentiments, adding that the rally organized by home grown group Adventure Hawks was a step forward in promoting adventure tourism in the region and shall significant contribute to the growth of tourism, making Bhadarwah a premier destination for adventure enthusiasts.


The bike rally shall halt overnight in Chamba and return to Bhadarwah day after promotion of tourism amongst stakeholders and coordinating with tour operators of Chamba marking the conclusion of the successful adventure event.
