“State govt should look at law and order situation”: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav reacts to Baba Siddique’s murder
Patna (Bihar) [India], October 13 (ANI): Reacting to the murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique, former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday suggested all state government to maintain law and order in their respective states.
Speaking to media persons, former Bihar Dy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, ” The way he was murdered yesterday…we are all grieving…it is a very surprising thing that in such a big city like Mumbai…if such incidents can take place there, then we can understand that nobody is safe…state govts should take a look at the law and order situation of the states.”
Former Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique, sustained gunshot wounds to his chest before being brought to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital for emergency treatment, where he succumbed to death on Saturday night.
After being shot, Baba Siddique was admitted around 9.30 pm on Saturday and, despite extensive resuscitative efforts, succumbed to his injuries shortly.
Dr Jalil Parkar, a physician at Lilavati Hospital, said, “Around 9.30 pm, Baba Siddique was brought here. When he arrived in the emergency room, his pulse and blood pressure were unrecordable, and the ECG showed a flat line. We shifted him to the ICU.”
Notably, Baba Siddique’s ancestral village is in Bihar’s Sheikhpurdil.
The villagers of NCP leader mourned his demise and expressed concerns over the law and order situation in Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, Mumbai’s esplanade court sent Gurmail Singh, accused in the Baba Siddique murder case to Mumbai Crime Branch custody till 21 October on Sunday.
Mumbai police earlier today presented the two accused in the Baba Siddique firing case, Gurmail Singh and Dharmraj Singh Kashyap in Mumbai’s Esplanade Court. Esplanade court has also directed to present the second accused again after conducting his ossification test.
Notably, an ossification test is a medical procedure that estimates a person’s age by analyzing the degree of fusion of their bones. It’s a popular method for determining age.
Mumbai police also said that the another accused has been identified in connection with the case. The name of the accused is Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar.
