DDC reviews implementation of Self-Employment Schemes, HADP

REASI, OCTOBER 15: District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan today led a comprehensive meeting aimed at expediting decisions on cases related to self-employment schemes and the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The discussion focused on the swift approval of pending cases to foster economic growth through local businesses and entrepreneurship.


A detailed review of the applications submitted for various self-employment schemes was conducted. The DDC also interviewed the Applicants under various schemes. These schemes are vital for encouraging individuals, particularly the youth and unemployed, to take up entrepreneurial ventures.


The DDC stressed the importance of facilitating financial assistance to eligible applicants in a timely manner, allowing them to establish and expand their businesses. By removing bottlenecks and expediting approvals, the district administration aims to create more employment opportunities and boost local economic activities.


In addition to reviewing self-employment cases, the DDC also highlighted the need for innovations especially in the Priority sector like Renewable energy, agro technology.


The DDC urged officials to align self-employment initiatives with the broader objectives of HADP, ensuring that the benefits of these programs are extended to disadvantaged groups, rural areas and the district’s most vulnerable populations.


The DDC also emphasized transparency and accountability in the selection and approval processes, calling on the officers to ensure that genuine candidates receive the benefits without delays. Meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Samyal, ACD Pardeep Kumar, AD Handicraft Ujwal Sambyal, AD employment Annie Vaid, Deputy Registrar Bhawani Attri , CAO, DSHO and other officials.
