Director Employment reviews implementation of Employment Generation schemes in Bandipora

BANDIPORA, February 25: The Director Employment Kashmir, Nissar Ahmad Wani on Saturday chaired a meeting to discuss the implementation of various employment generation schemes in Bandipora town.

During the meeting, Director Employment sought details about various schemes that are under execution for employment generation and entrepreneurship development.

CEO Wali Mohammad informed the chair about the ongoing schemes and discussed the success stories due to successful implementation of schemes. The meeting also discussed the cases they rejected and the reasons for rejection.

Director Employment asked the officers to inform the educated unemployed youth about every successful unit running owing to the implementation of job oriented schemes so that more youth avail benefit of these schemes.

He also sought detail of each individual case that has been rejected for handholding and asked officers to review each case and find reasons for rejection so as to recommend alternatives.

He said the schemes should not be for the sake of achieving targets but should be taken as a mission to empower the youth so that he is able to earn his livelihood.

The Director told the officers that self employment is the only way to eradicate unemployment and urged them to inform the youth about these schemes so that they are provided a hand holding assistance to start their own income generation unit.

CEO MC Bandipora impressed upon stakeholders to be target oriented in the schemes.

The meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council Wali Mohammad Wani, Managers of various banks operating in the town, officers of various line departments.
