Kathua admin hosts free Surgical Camp at Bani

KATHUA, OCTOBER 17: A free surgical camp is currently underway in Bani to provide specialized medical services to over 2,000 beneficiaries in the hilly region.


Organized by the Department of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with SOS Memorial Trust Delhi began Running on October 13 and will continue till Oct 19, 2024.


The camp offers a range of comprehensive medical care, targeting 40 major and minor surgeries, with a particular focus on orthopedic and gallbladder procedures. The use of modern equipment has facilitated efficient service delivery, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care.


The District Administration, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rakesh Minhas, along with Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vijay Raina and Block Medical Officer Dr. Dev Raj, has played a pivotal role in the seamless execution of the camp.


Dr. Raina has actively engaged with patients throughout the event, receiving positive feedback regarding the treatment and care provided.


“This initiative highlights the success of public-private partnerships in making healthcare more accessible to underserved communities,” stated Dr. Raina. He also praised the contributions of the SOS Memorial Trust and expressed optimism for future collaborations to further enhance healthcare services in the region.
